It has been quite a year for guild members! We celebrated our 50th anniversary year with so many study groups, a workshop or two, garden meetings on warm summer days, evening and day meetings visiting and sharing our latest projects, participating in local events and of course our two big sale events of the year.
We welcomed many new members with a wide variety of fibre interests. Some are experienced fibre enthusiasts while others are just beginning to dip their toes into weaving or spinning. Others are coming back to their chosen craft after years away from working with yarn. Whatever their interests and experience we welcomed the new members with open arms and support.
We met this past week for the last meeting for 2023 to enjoy fellowship, a delicious meal and of course lots of time to visit with each other. We had such a great time focusing on being together that I don’t think a photo was taken during the meeting.
Thank you to all our wonderful members who over the past year; their time, expertise and support with other guild members and our community at large. We celebrated the Guild’s beginnings as well as what the guild may look like in the future. Now it’s time to finish all those WIP’s hiding in the project basket or on the loom or wheel. We wish you a safe and happy time with family and friends and a fibre filled 2024.
