Knitting Night at the Nature Centre
September 19 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Come together for an evening of crafting, conversation, and connection at our monthly Knitting Night, hosted by Stacey Slager, local textile artist and CENC board member. Held on the third Thursday of every month, this event welcomes everyone—whether you’re a seasoned knitter, crocheter, or just starting out!
Bring your knitting, crocheting, embroidery, or any threaded craft and join our cozy community circle. This is a relaxed space to work on your projects, share ideas, and exchange tips with fellow crafters, all while enjoying the beauty of the estuary.
Knitting Night also celebrates the ecological benefits of using natural fibres and supporting locally made textiles. Natural fibres like wool, cotton, and linen are not only biodegradable and renewable but also contribute to a healthier planet by reducing reliance on synthetic materials. By choosing sustainable, locally sourced textiles, we can reduce waste and support our local economy while creating beautiful, long-lasting pieces.
No formal instruction, no pressure—just a welcoming space to craft in community, chat with Stacey, and enjoy the shared creativity of others.
